What happens if I am late RETURNING my equipment?
If you are late returning your equipment, please call the Media Loans Office (519) 452-4430 Ext. 14074 as soon as you know you will be late. We will attempt to give a few more minutes on your checkout, but cannot guarantee more time will be given, or that late fees will not be issued. You must speak directly with a Media Loans Operator to confirm any adjustments to your current order.
What happens if my equipment is LOST?
You will be charged for the full value of the lost item. Failure to pay will result in the inability to graduate and the invoice will be sent to collections.
Can I renew my equipment reservation?
Please call the Media Loans Office (519) 452-4430 Ext. 14074 if you wish the extend the duration of your order. Renewals are not guaranteed and must be confirmed by a Media Loans Operator to be effective.
What happens if I am late to PICK UP my equipment?
Your order will be held for 30 minutes past your scheduled pickup time. If you are 30 minutes late to pickup your equipment, we cannot guarantee it will still be available. We may be able to checkout similar equipment to your order, but cannot guarantee you will receive the same equipment.
What happens if my equipment is STOLEN?
If your equipment is stolen you have the option to file a police report. As per the agreement, you are liable and will be subjected to the full replacement cost of the item(s).
I lent my equipment out to a friend and they broke/lost the items, am I still liable?
Yes as long as the equipment is under your name you are completely liable for damaged or lost/stolen equipment and will be subjected to any potential charges as per the agreement. We strongly advise against lending equipment to others and recommend going through WebCheckout to return and sign out equipment accordingly.
Can someone else pickup my equipment for me?
NO! You must pickup your own equipment, as you will be signing an agreement form agreeing to the terms of your order as well as to abide by the Media Loans Rental Policy. No one else can sign the agreement for you.
How long can I book out equipment for?
You are able to book out equipment for a maximum period of 48 hours from your pickup time. You are able to book for length under 48 hours as well. You are always able to return equipment before your scheduled return time, during open hours.
